US Toys Co. Sale (older discontinue sets)

Post by benfoldsrock » Sat Dec 08, 2012 6:38 pm

I was at US Toys co. Today and score some good deals on retired sets that I have not seen anywhere else. If you have a store in your city, go check it out.

They have a pretty big selection of Lego. Usually they mark almost all their Lego up like toys r us price 5-20 usd over msrp. So hence they have a lot of older sets and retired sets left.

They currently have 10 percent off Lego all weekend and I ask the manager he says that every weekend Friday- Sunday til Christmas. If you sign up their email. They have a lot of coupon from 10-20 percent off entire order and sometime it does say exclude Lego but I talk to the manager and cashier before and they let me use the 20 percent off on top of the 10 percent. If that don't work, they have buy 50 dollar of gift card and get 10 dollar free gift card. The manager only let me pick one or the other. So I end up with 20 percent instead I the gift cards. I bought over 1500 worth of stuff and he was not happy to let me use the coupon so we negotiated. When I went first time. The other manager let me get 20 percent off and free 10 usd on every 50 dollar spent. But that order was only 300 dollars.

I got
Sets store price (after discount price)
Star Wars 8097 slave 1 100usd (72)
City 4204 the mine 110usd (79)
Hp 4942 hog warts castle 160usd (115)
Hp 4737 quidditch match 25usd (18)
Star Wars 8098 clone turbo tank 140usd (100)
Ninjago fire temple 130usd (94)
Toys story soldier mini figures 12usd (10)
Technic 8052 container truck 80usd (58)

I also saw but didn't get
Black pearl 120 (86)
Queen Anne's revenge 140 (101)
Extravator technic 230 (166)
Palpatine shuttle Sw 70 (50)
Wampa cave Sw 50 (36)
Almost the whole line of potc still, many Harry potter set but no train or the burrow left
Almost whole line of prince of Persia, Atlantis, toy story, alien conquest, pharoahs quest. many bionic left on clearance

They also have plenty of 2012 sets that you can use the coupon. Just beware of the mark up! Hope it helps anyone still looking for cheaper retired or sold out sets before Christmas.

It looks like the availability and prices are store site specific (so you'd need to disclose the store site for it to be any use to others on the forum ), the US Toy Company does have an online store but the lego
availability is more limited and pricing are less generous.
