Access to trade and sale thread

Post by fanjo » Fri Jul 27, 2012 9:41 am

I was wondering what I need to get access to the trade and sale thread.

I want to trade Team GB minifigures.

Thanks.

Hi fanjo

You do have access to the trade board and also to PMs (private messages). However, your replies posts in the B/S/T forum are subject to mod approval until you become an active member. I''ve went ahead and approved the posts for you. ;)

There's quite a demand for these olympic minifigures. I'm sure you can help someone out.

Hello Ice

Thanks. What I mean is I can't post a new topic in the b/s/t section so I can place a list of figures I want to trade for. Otherwise I need to send everyone my list. I prefer to place a post in the b/s/t section and members can contact me so I have a record of who's interested and sort them out 1 by 1.

When am I classed as an active member?

Thanks.

I can tell you that at the rate of your activity, you'll be there in no time. Keep up with the Europe sales reporting! ;)

Thanks.

I keep an eye out for my son, so it only takes a few minutes to post.

The deals are on at the moment, to get rid of summer stock. I think they'll slow down soon.

I wish this info was more openly available. I see people posting on the trade forum now with less posts than when I was able to first view it.

Do the post settings for various ranks get changed often? I understand not wanting people to post just to hit a certain post count, but this site seems pretty heavily moderated anyway. Doesn't seem like it would be that much of an issue to moderate spam posters.

Hi Ice, I'm not a very invested lego fan anymore, but I was wondering if there was any way to ask for help on selling my bricks in the appropriate forum.

Thank you.

It is based on post count, but it does get changed occasionaly (in order to ensure members are not spamming the site just to get their post counts). Members who were approved into the B/S/T forum before the change will not be affected.

Hi MVPWally, I would recommend using Bricklink to sell your collection.

How many posts do you need to be classified as an active member? I have a few sets I'm looking to trade.
