Actors turned brick!
Actors turned brick!
Not sure if this should be in general or media. Just sort of a fun, general brick related topic.
After looking at the new Toy Fair photos and seeing all the characters for licensed sets it got me thinking... Which actors have been made into minifigures. And it surprised me some actors have been more than one character turned minifgure.
A few I could think of off-hand:
Johnny Depp - Ja..Erm, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Tonto
Harrison Ford - Indiana Jones, and Han Solo
Orlando Bloom - Legolas, and Will Turner
Was there a Salah minifigure with the Indiana Jones line? (If so that would make 2 for John Rhys Davies since he's also Gimli).
Any others that people can think of that have been "bricked" twice? I can't think of any that have made it to three yet, either.

Re: Actors turned brick!
2 of my favorite actors, Ian McKellen, Gandalf and Magneto and Gary Oldman with Sirius Black and Commish Gordon
Samuel L has 2, Mace Windu and Nick Fury.
I feel like I remember reading a thread about this and there were a couple people with 3 but I can't think of them.

Ha! 3 great ones (that I never thought of!).
Apologies if this thread is a repeat I honestly didn't even try to search for it, it was just something I was thinking about earlier so I posted.

Re: Actors turned brick!
This was discused on the Bricklink forum a long time ago. And maybe in other forums too.
The winner is Alfred Molina.
Satipo, Doc Ock, and a prince of persia guy.

AH!
Warwick Davis has 4! But only 1 is a human minifigure the rest are other spicies, so I don't know if that counts...

Ya I just clicked that link (linked from a comment from the link in your first post) and tripped out to see the pictures.
Obviously other people have had the same weird trains of thought that I have.
I wonder if Alfred Molina is upset at being dethroned, or if your right and other species don't count!

Re: Actors turned brick!
If mutants count alien races should count...they acted the part and a minifig was made from it. Seems like it should count to me.
Re: Actors turned brick!
I don't know if this counts, since that Magneto figure isn't necessarily based on the movie incarnation.lego the hutt wrote:2 of my favorite actors, Ian McKellen, Gandalf and Magneto
Re: Actors turned brick!
Um... I'm going to have to call false here bro. "Wolverine's Chopper Showdown" was based off X-men Origins: Wolverine. Ian played Magneto in that, so I would say it is and should be credited to Ian McKellen.vynsane wrote:I don't know if this counts, since that Magneto figure isn't necessarily based on the movie incarnation.lego the hutt wrote:2 of my favorite actors, Ian McKellen, Gandalf and Magneto
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
Re: Actors turned brick!
I tried googling for a Sallah minifigure and found a wiki page about the video game and it says there was no minifigure actually produced.
But, I do notice that list/link is missing Gary Oldman, so there is some hope of other unreported ones!

Magneto wasn't in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.Luciant wrote:Um... I'm going to have to call false here bro. "Wolverine's Chopper Showdown" was based off X-men Origins: Wolverine. Ian played Magneto in that, so I would say it is and should be credited to Ian McKellen.
Re: Actors turned brick!
Not the same but similiar enough to be related, and odd.
Sam Witwer, and Aidan Turner.
They both play the same character/archetype in the two versions of the television show, Being Human (Although they have different names, the original was british, and the american version actually renamed the character "Aidan" after the actor that portrayed him).
They both have minifigures! Witwer Starkiller/Galen Marek, and Turner as Kili the Dwarf.

Re: Actors turned brick!
Well, Christopher Lee will be perhaps the first actor to have 2 different minifigs released in one year - Saruman and Count Dooku.
LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)
Re: Actors turned brick!
Wasn't sure if he was or not, haven't watched it in a while. But the same actors that were used in the X-men Movie Series including Ian McKellen, were used for their corresponding parts in X-men Origins: Wolverine, and thus should be credited as a rendition of him. At least that is my take/view on it since they did not have the license / rights at the time to put out sets based on previous movies.vynsane wrote:Magneto wasn't in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.Luciant wrote:Um... I don't know, sounds like a LOT of circular logic... but I guess I'll let it slideLuciant wrote:But the same actors that were used in the X-men Movie Series including Ian McKellen, were used for their corresponding parts in X-men Origins: Wolverine, and thus should be credited as a rendition of him.
