CMF Series 9 Environment Displays

Post by Deadareus » Mon Feb 11, 2013 9:57 am

Greetings fellow brickheads. Long time reader 1st time poster.

Saw a ToroLUG user (Si-MOC) post some similar works for series 8. Figured I would give it a try with series 9. It's been fun so far and makes for a much better display in my son's room. Hope you enjoy them!

I agree - I love these! Very clever. We'll have to try some at our house.

I think you could be on to something here. All on a standard 8x8 stud footprint?

I could see whole competitions around these, and plans!

These are really good. Some of the best I have seen. Great job OP.

For something additionally awesome in this same vein, there is a lego fan somewhere named Cecile I think, who does all the collectible minifigs in a connectable vig setup. It's really mind blowing in terms of creativity if you ask me.

I have no affiliation nor do I even know the person, but was impressed when I came across the pictures of her lego artwork. Link below. Enjoy.

These are great. I love when people do this. I wish I had the patience, creativity, and all the bricks. ;)

Nice display. I like your chicken. Will you be doing the other 12 figs?

ToroLUG is having a lot of fun with them too. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8378/8439 ... cef4_b.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks everybody. Appreciate the kind words and the front page post. My proudest online Lego moment yet!

Yes, they are all on standard 8x8 bricks. They're small but it makes for a challenging compact display.

I hope to have the Policeman, Starlet and Plumber done by the weekend. Then there will be a break for another week or so. My wife and I have been scaling down on the Lego purchases (including CMF's) as to not spoil our 4 yr old TOO much. But I eventually hope to have them all completed within the 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for the link, I'm looking forward to seeing what others have done. So far I've refrained from checking out the other images as I don't want to be influenced by any other ideas until I have completed my set.
