Thanks. I don't have Kmart nearby.
The complete serie is sold for about 64 dollars on ebay. I am going to buy there if my nearby TRU doesn't restock during the promotion.

exciter1 wrote:During last weeks $15 off $75 purchase sale I picked up 2 x LOTR: The Hobbit Barrel Escape 79004 for $79.48. Doing the math I noticed I would have saved about $8 more with this sale. I asked for a price adjustment and she just knocked off 50% oo one of the items on my receipt. Luckily, she knocked 50% off the sale price of $37.49 (orig. $44.99) and she refunded me $19.86. I ended up getting both of these sets for $59.62 or less than $30 each including tax.
I also saw two Super Heroes: The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape (6857) sets on the shelf today, so I picked up those as well. Luckily my TRU has these priced at $49.99 each. I ended up getting both of these for $79.48.
So did you just bring in your receipt from your past purchase and ask for the adjustment at the customer service desk? Did you have to talk with a manager?
I really need to try this at my TRU and see if this works. More than once I bought on Saturday only to realize Sunday's sale would've been cheaper.

I also can't find any at local Target.
It seems like series 9 is not sold as widely as 7 & 8. Series 9 is labeled as retiring soon at the S@H now. Does this mean I should buy ASAP?
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. If LEGO doesn't get their act together and make enough of these minifigures I'm going to buy a hell of a lot less LEGOs. I'd say at least half my LEGO budget goes towards CMS.

Going to stop by my local TRU after work tomorrow to see if they have anything worthwhile - the selection is usually terrible but at least they don't have the '1 per customer' restriction they have online right now.

Thanks to all who posted about the BOGO stacking with the sale price on Palpatine's Arrest - my schedule was too tight to allow me to do the $15 off yesterday, so I was happy to grab 2 of these today. A genuinely good deal - must have been a complete oversight on TRU's part.

I am having the exact opposite problem. Plenty of Series 9 but practically no series 8. My TRU had 3 boxes of 9 and half box of series 7. The worst part is they haven't stocked new polybags in 3 months or if they did, I cannot find them in the store. My local Meijer has series 9 too.

Some of the architecture series are the same price or even lower than lego.com. You could get a good deal there on Robie,Falling Water, etc. Of course you gotta have in store though it seems.

The Gold Leader's Y-Wing worked with the BOGO 50% even though it is already discounted, in the same manner that Palp.'s Arrest did. They ended up being a reasonable $34.12 each.

Worked out for me too. The Y-Wing (9495) ended up being $36.16 each for me and I didn't even have to hassle with a manager. I just went up to register and that's what they rang up.

My TRU has the Star Wars Christmas Advent Calenders 40% 23.99 I wonder if it would work with the BOGO Sale.

I walked into my local TrU today not expecting much...ended up walking out with 2 imperial shuttles as well. Never thought I would find these at any retailer anymore. Their price was slightly higher than retail, but with the BOGO plus 10% off with new credit account. Great deal! No way that I would've gotten this deal thru TrU online. Sometimes it's worth walking into the store. Interestingly, however, their store prices do not match their online price...

My local TRU has Palpatine's Arrest on the shelf for $120. Showed them their own website that has the $74.99 price, however, which they honored, but they would not give me the BOGO 50% as well. This particular store has ridiculous prices like Jabba's Palace at $165 and the Sith Fury at $120. Also carry An Unexpected Gathering for $96.99.

And not all lego items are marked above retail either. They are all over the place with their prices, so you do have to be selective. For example I remember seeing the falcon at regular retail price.
