Collectable minifigures series 1 slowly coming to USA

Thank god its not an exclusive. Toysrus has them listed on their site at $2.49 but out of stock at the moment.

They're not exclusives by any means - it just seems that very few retailers took a chance on these. It's a good sign that they're in the computer system, but that doesn't mean you're ever going to see them at kmart - they probably have a chain-wide internet based inventory system, so if even one kmart store got them as a test market it would be in the system. What the company decides to do from there is anybody's guess.

It seems there are more retail chains in the States/North America that are stocking these - most notably Borders Books and Fred Meyer Stores. I don't have any Fred Meyers around, as they're mainly a west coast but they're reporting success over at FBTB - no buy limit, still MSRP of $1.99.

Wow, I may have bought the last 5 (my one and only order) since I just got the shipping notice. Hope LEGO learns something from this for series 2.

Just went to borders and they have them in stock behind the counter.

I also went to check at toyrus, walmart and target but they don't have them in the toy section where the lego sets are. Does anyone know if these stores actually sell these and if so where are they usually located in?

got lucky today at the Frisco Lego store. They get thier shipments on Monday, so my wife and son went and stood in line, about 15 people ahead of them. They each were each able to get 5 and thus we are only a zombie short of a complete set.

Going to Canada the end of the week. Will probably look for minifigs at Toys R Us there. Anybody know if they're still for sale up north? Anybody know if the bar codes are the same or if there is a separate one for Canada? Thanks...

The bar codes are the same. Walmart also carries the minifigures. But I have to say they're sold out and very hard to find in stores up here too. Which province are you heading to?

I heard series 1 is completed and discontinued. Series 2 will arrive soon.

Both Urban Outfitters stores in the Minneapolis, MN, area have some series 1 figures still available at them, though for $5 each. I picked up a Ninja and Robot, cuz they were the ones I really wanted. No Zombies, but plenty of cheerleaders.

Borders in Solon, Ohio had 2 open boxes of Series 1 behind the counter as of Saturday evening. They did not have these a few weeks ago. I think they were $3 each. Already have S1 so I wasn't interested.

Other than on the B/S/T forum, does anyone have any idea where we can find series 1 still in stores somewhere? I only saw them for two days each in each TRU in Newport News VA and Huntington Station NY. There one day, gone the next.

I wonder if somehow some will turn up in places, like it was missing stock found in some back room. Or someone returns some, some unknowing grandparent.

Thinkgeek.com still has Series 1 figures on sale, but they're charging $3.99 per.
