We only got one. There are some on Ebay already. I never have the nerve to ask for extra sets. If there is really no one there I sometimes say, "can I have one for my niece?" I do have a niece, but I keep it for myself  I've never gotten enough to actually sell on Ebay. Now that my daughter is older and paying more attention to what I'm doing, I can't seem to pull the niece manuever anymore!

Vynsane, I need to do the, "what happens to the extras?" trick next time. We got there at 12:15 and it was too early to do that and I didn't have time to hang around until 1:30 or 2.

ETA: I just clicked on two of the listings and one has 5 available and one 6, do you think it is a TRU employee or a customer? Gettng 5 extra to sell on Ebay just doesn't seem right to me, when it's a kids event and all. :lol:no

Just a warning, the Braintree store often has a line and the wait can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours! Not too fun with a 2 year old, barely tolerable with 7 year old! We used to arrive before 5 to get in line and maybe you'd be in the front, I'm hearing now that people get to the store 2 hours before. Anyway it almost seems better to try and come to the mall after the events start and hope they haven't run out and since your litle one doesn't know about it, he won't be upset if you don't get in. I've seen no wait at around 6:30, but it's a crapshoot as they may have run out. It really varies.

The tru that I visit keeps the extras from promos to give to kids on their birthdays.

Had the playmat laminated at FedEx/Kinko's this past Saturday. It was too big for self service machine so they had to do it behind the counter. It was $12 plus tax. More than I probably should have paid but we all spend too much on LEGO's anyways.... ;) It was a nice thick lamination job vs. some of the thinner kind you get in elementary schools... Maybe Staples or Office Depot would less expensive... Just an FYI
