Lego in 1969 film
A terrible, and I do mean just terrible anti drug film from 1969 called "Drugs are like that" revolves around a subplot of two kids playing with a bucket of lego, including a lot of gears and a battery powered motor. Has anyone else seen this?

I just saw it recently too. I believe the guys at rifftrax made fun of it. The whole short was very weird.

Re: Lego in 1969 film
Because of this post, I went to check it out on YouTube. It hasn't aged well, and my limited attention span forced me to skip through parts of it. I think the LEGO machine, and all the other metaphors in the presentation was pretty weak, because they weren't realistic - changing one part on the LEGO machine doesn't cause it to smoke and destroy itself in real life, so the reel life parallel was silly.
But I guess that was the culture back then, you couldn't directly show things, talk about things, get to the root cause of problems. Nowadays, we've got these great celebrity examples of Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse, etc. that show just what can happen if you start and can't stop. And we've also got the example of Robert Downey, Jr. who was able to turn it around.
