What would have been an amazing deal 6 months ago is blown. You have to pay almost 100 Euro for shipping and import fees.

I'd be worried it would get trashed shipping it across the Atlantic as well. Sure, you could return it or something but it would be a huge hassle.

For Canadians, even after the import fees it comes out ~100 bucks cheaper than Lego Shop-at-Home. I'm sure shipping to various areas of Canada will differ, but Toronto comes out to about $475 altogether; compare that to $575 after taxes from SaH and it's pretty tempting.

My one experience shopping with Amazon France was great. Ordered the supercar, was worried about the shipping damage, and it arrived in good condition. No damage to the box whatsoever. Granted, it's smaller than the death star, but I'm 1 for 1 so far.
