Has anyone here built one of these yet? I came out of my dark ages about 18 months ago once my son was old enough to put together minifigures and I'm just getting into moddifying sets to make them hold up a little better for play.
Something that is driving me crazy about this set is the windows. While the design has been praised I really don't like it.
There seems to be about 50-60 pieces that could be replaced with something simpler. These tiny little pieces up the total count, when I'd rather have something more useful. Perhaps my angst is simply because I have large hands and building the trim pieces to work with the SNOT technique is quite cumbersome.
Whatever the reason is I decided that I'm going to use trans clear panels that were recently available through PAB in Tysons Corner. I believe they're 1X2X3, anyway what I am looking for is a piece that I can use to keep the look of the window's as originally designed intact without having to use the trans black 1X2 panels.
I'm going to try to track down the piece I want to use instead, but any ideas on what I can do to avoid all of those 1X1 plates?

Re: Arkham Asylum 10937
I keep going back and forth about whether or not to pick it up. While the overall design is pretty cool, I agree that the brick count seems high for the size to the point that they almost seem like they were actively trying to artificially inflate the count to charge more.
The other thing is that while I don't own a lot of Batman sets, I literally already have at least incarnation of every single one of the mini-figures except Scarecrow.

Theres a lot of details in the set for sure, but I'd almost prefer less detail and more size based on the price point.
