Hello everyone i have recently got into lego, I want to construct buildings but need the same paintwork on the bricks. It would be very expensive buying the bricks all the same colour. I was wondering if a brought buckets of lego what would it look like if i painted the bricks myself. Has anyone done similar.

You could paint them, but it's viewed the same as gluing LEGO. Sure it can be done, but shouldn't.

If you do it, make sure to use plastic spray paint for an even coat.

If there is a LEGO store near you, can buy bricks in a rainbow of colors off their pick a prick wall. Or you can try bricklink.com

If you are building anything really big in Lego - consider buying used Lego - often used Lego can be purchased for a fraction of new Lego. I am getting most of my used Lego from Classic Plastic Bricks and All Time Toys (both are in Ellicott City, MD), craig's list, or Bricklink. You can buy a limited selection of bricks from your local Lego store's pick-a-brick(PAB) wall (Lego has 12 stores in the UK),
