Potential deal if we get the votes

I was told by an employee of the Lego Company that it applies to Lego brand retail. He did not say other retailers, and this is the first I have heard that.

It's a long thread, but it records much evidence that the big US retailers (amazon/walmart/target) have agreed to not discount any sets on the list above.

I'm curious to see if this will still hold after the holidays. For example, is the Winter Village Market going to be on clearance anywhere? I was able to find each of the previous Winter Village sets on discount in past years. I find it hard to believe that no one will discount the current edition after the holidays.

I really hope that's still true regarding discount after holidays.
I'm going to wait this year Black Friday to see what TLG & TRU going to be offer, but I really doubt anything I wanted...

I thought something was off. By this time last year, the Death Star and Super Star Destroyer were around $300 at Walmart and the modulars were all $120 or less. I can still hope for a clearance period or holiday sale though. Thanksgiving is late this year.

Also, Lego B&M stores put the Winter Cottage on clearance for 50% off after January 1 last year. Cottage was worth $50. I hope they do it again for the Village as even 50% and at $50 still seems steep.
