AmazonGlobal (aka amazon.com) Now Ships Lego To Canada

Post by creativerain » Mon Nov 04, 2013 2:16 am

I got an email from amazon.com notifying me that Lego now ships internationally through AmazonGlobal. This means Canadians can order from amazon.com AND ship it to a Canadian address. You do however have to pay for shipping & handling as well as import fees. I tried placing an order to reach the Amazon free shipping threshold but once you input a Canadian address the option in check out is removed for free shipping. Also, not the entire amazon.com Lego inventory is available through AmazonGlobal but most sets are. I tried buying the Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout but the set wasn't made available for AmazonGlobal.

Hope this helps. This could be the start of gaining easier access to US discounted Lego.

agree, I don't think there is any scenario where this will work out given the shipping fees and import taxes. I don't know how barnes and noble does it, they are one of the few US companies that can ship to canada for low shipping cost and low taxes. Amazon.com should find out what bn is doing and do the same, but hopes of that are slim as they probably want to protect amazon.ca.

B&N was the place to goto before they change their policy on limiting use of coupons on Lego sets. Who know, maybe we might see deals close to those across the border on Amazon.ca, when they wonder why their sets are not selling like they do in the states.
