My local walmarts have them at $1.97 ea.
You claimed your local Target and Walmart stocked Series 1 {so I call in to question the veracity of your claim that Walmart is stocking Series 2.}

[...] I wasn't the only one who had seen them at Walmarts in USA, [...] furthermore hundreds of people even on BL are mentioning how series 2's are showing up in Targets and Walmarts everywhere.

Thank you. I do remember reading that. Let's start sending in the Wal-Mart reports since TRU and Target are now overpriced and Lego.com ends their free shipping with $75 purchase today.

Let's keep it above the belt. Flame wars will be extinguished early and with extreme prejudice.

That's fair. Nice editing by the way. [...]
In any case, I hope this recent trend by Target (raising the price to $2.99) doesn't foretell a similar increase for Series III. TRU has been selling them for $2.99 apiece for a while, but they did start (until they almost immediately sold out) at $1.99 for both Series so far.

Just came from Five Below in Harrisburg, PA and got the empty display box out of it, but no figures. Price stickers of $1.99 all over the front. The manager said they'd had series one a few months back and have gotten in S2 a few times. The stores in Camp Hill and whichever Lancaster location he called were also sold out.
Not sure how to get a photo up here. Do I need to host it elsewhere?

When your posting, you should see "upload attachement" underneath. Click on it. From there, you can upload the file to place the pictures you want here. ;)

Here's the photo of the empty box from Five Below. If you're not in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic you probably have no idea what Five Below is.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Does anyone have the picture of the different bigger display case or box from Walmart?

Those aren't LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 2, they're 2 Seires Serugifinim Elbitcelloc OGEL :P (why is everything backwards in your photo?)

Used my MacBook's Photo Booth. I realized it reverses things after I posted the photo. Or maybe the settings are messed up. And I realize it was blurry, but hopefully you all get the idea if you're in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic and can make it to one.

I'm just teasing ya - however, there might be a setting for photobooth that will flip the image back, I'm not 100% sure as I've never used it.
EDIT: I also wish I had thought of 'Serugifinim' as a username, because that's pretty awesome. Funny thing is, if you do a
Google search for 'serugifinim' it actually returns the minifigures.lego.com site!

It does sound awesome and a lot better than Ogel. It's like something from Nordic mythology or LOTR.
