Sears Lego 50% off Chima, friends (YMMV)

Post by Gilbort » Fri Dec 20, 2013 6:32 pm

I was at a Sears in Ottawa and all their remaining Lego was on sale for 50% off. There was eagle interceptor, gorilla striker, pack tracker, some other ones, d for friends there was heart lake pet salon. If you have time to kill, u can do price match at TRU.

Most to all Toys R Us only do price match with a flyer.

All Toys R Us should be doing it since it clearly states in their price match policy that all you need is a receipt with the product name, price and date. In my case, the cashier called the manager down from the office, he looks at the receipt and hands it back to me telling me to come back with a flyer. I hand him back the receipt and point to the price match poster at the front of the store and let him know that it's clearly on their. He takes the receipt and goes back upstairs to the office, likely consulting with the giraffe, then I see him come back down and walk to the front to read the policy, then he goes back up again to speak with the giraffe, then he finally comes back down and gives me the price match. I thought that it was unprofessional that the manager, and even the giraffe, weren't informed on their own policies.

how many days is the receipt valid for? Ie if I buy something on the 15th, can I pricematch on the 27th?

Not sure, when I did it they were only concerned with the price and the product being the same one.
