I see a preliminary listing of all of the parts of the Sea cow at Bricklink. If that is accurate, then the Sea cow has one of most variety of pieces in one set, more than 500 different parts (unique lots).

I'm looking foward to buying this set! After I saw the fabulous LEGO Movie I was disappointed all the sets were small. Of course I bought a bunch of them, but the Sea Cow is awesome! I may wait a couple of months to see if another retailer will have it for a bit less.
