I am jealous at all those who found those Target Clearance a little while back. Today was my day off work and I had to go out on errands anyways... stopped by two local Targets and the stores are pathetic. Empty shelves (lego shelves), no selection, and definitely, nothing on clearance. No deals at all.

Re: Target Canada LEGO Sale This Week from April 4-10
Since Targets were opened at lower mainland in B.C., I never had any luck finding any LEGO clearance item from any stores. Everytime I visited the store(s), the shelves with "on sale" tags were always empty. In last boxing day event, they advertised for the sale of 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor, but I found nothing on the shelves. I wonder if these empty shelf situations were caused by hoarder or store employees or the store never carried it.legolego wrote:I am jealous at all those who found those Target Clearance a little while back. Anyway, I've already given up with local Target(s), and I rarely shop from them.

Never found anything on sale at Target either, Walmart has the best deals and most Lego clearance here in Canada in my opinion.

I have had amazing success at Target in Kamloops! Lots of clearance Lego and tons of other things at sometimes more than half price.

I've noticed a trend... if you live in the smaller communities (not Vancouver, not Toronto/Mississauga), you may be in luck. Otherwise, I've never seen a clearance item at my Target in the Vancouver area I've visited. I have far more luck with Walmart and London Drugs, and even Canadian Tire if you can believe that.

The Orillia Target was sold out of ALL the on sale LEGO sets by Sunday, except the Camper. I passed on it since I just bought the Pet Shop during double VIP days, and now need to buy something on May the 4th to get the Darth Revan figure. As to clearance items, they were completely cleaned out. Nothing, nadda, zip, zero.

I think it was Friday I passed by the Orillia Target (looking for Marvel Legends lol). No sign of any clearances. I think they may have had 1 or two of the sale Lego sets (not the Cloud Cuckoo Palace though).

Two targets I went to here in Calgary were already picked over...mind you these sections never looked well stocked/merchandised ever since they opened.
Re: Target Canada LEGO Sale This Week from April 4-10
Walmart WAS good for clearance, but they have cut down on that in the past year or two, and a lot of times, the clearance is store specific. About this sale, it is only 20% off, 25% with the red card on SELECTED sets, so who cares if they are in stock or not?massakassa wrote:Never found anything on sale at Target either, Walmart has the best deals and most Lego clearance here in Canada in my opinion.
Re: Target Canada LEGO Sale This Week from April 4-10
Completely agree, haven't found any good deals at Walmart for over a year. A "Good deal" to me is at least 40% off, but more like 50% off or better. The deals I've seen this year at Walmart are pathetic. Most of the clearance deals are only 10-25 % off. Not going to get too excited about 20% off as these kind of sales are a dime a dozen. Saw a whole row of Wizard Battles discounted from $15.99 to $14.00 clearance. They sat for a long time but eventually they were slowly bought up. I picked these up at superstore a month ago for under $8.00. So far the only good deals this year have been Superstore and Target's 50% off sales. Could Lego's gain in popularity put an end to any more "great" clearance deals in the future???dulait wrote:Walmart WAS good for clearance, but they have cut down on that in the past year or two, and a lot of times, the clearance is store specific. Re: Target Canada LEGO Sale This Week from April 4-10
I have had a lot of good deals at Walmart here in the GTA, 50% is very common but also up to 66% off sometimes. I used to visit Target regularly to check for clearance but never found anything so i dont bother going there anymore. Maybe its like Legolego said, Targets in smaller communities have better deals but not so much in the big cities.
Re: Target Canada LEGO Sale This Week from April 4-10
The best deal I've ever gotten at Target was when the Lone Ranger series was being discontinued. Snagged a bunch of sets at 50%. I don't have a Target close by, so I don't frequent Targets as often as I visit Walmarts. I too have gotten good deals at Walmart, but it's been really random at Walmart locations. Totally YMMV.
