Question - LEGO Store and Sales Tax when using VIP Points

Post by atmail35 » Sun Aug 17, 2014 6:58 pm

Does anyone know if you use VIP points if they charge you sale tax on the balance or the pre discount total?

MA has a tax free weekend, but I can't seem to get it tax free on-line. :(

I'm sorry. I've never noticed. It was just this past year that I had to start paying sales tax with LEGO shop at home.

I just tried adding items to my basket to see if I could answer your question but apparently LEGO shop at home is currently experiencing technical difficulties. It won't let me use VIP points online. I am instead prompted to do so by phone. Wish that I could help

What a shock. LEGO really needs to move into 2014 and fire the idiots that sip and work the website.

Not that it matters now but many many sites won't care if we had tax free weekend. Home Depot didn't even have the right date.

I just checked some of my recent orders and it appears that tax is calculated after the discount.
