First MOC Stories

What was your first large scale MOC? How old were you/what year in school when you built it and why?

Mine was the year before I started High School, I had the Millennium Falcon Set 4504 and I used that as the base to build a model of a nuclear reactor. It was very simple, I included Bionicle pieces for the core of the reactor, with lightsaber blades as the fuel rods and cooling rods. The "engine" of the Falcon was the cooling tanks, and I used other assorted pieces to build a control and decontamination room.

Edit 1: Forgot to mention that this was a school project that I received an A on.

In 1965, I got the Super Wheel Toy set (Lego 610-4) for Christmas - there wasn't any instructions only pictures outside the box. One of first creations with this new set was a battleship. When my cousin came over to visit, he made a submarine out of the Lego parts I had not used which he then used to ram and destroy my battleship. My Lego battleship was lost but that day I learned how to make submarines which could destroy battleships.
