LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier Minifigure Polybag

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri Dec 26, 2014 7:41 am

A new LEGO Super Heroes Marvel polybag has surfaced. The Winter Soldier LEGO minifigure polybag is based on the Captain America 2: Winter Solider movie. It should be available later in 2015 as a promotional item. Thanks to Brickheroes and Eurobricks for the news.

Honestly, I'm beginning to think it's really crappy that important characters are being relegated to promos. These types of give-aways should be less important characters. That said, I suppose it's a way to release characters that were not made available in sets.

That very situation, however, was inexcusable with the Iron Man 3 sets - the "War Machine" paint job never showed up in the movie at all and was the version released in the set. If anything, the Iron Patriot should have been in the set and War Machine should have been the promo.

I have to agree, to a point. I know I'll never get the SDCC 1960's Batman set, but I've (somewhat) come to terms with that (plus, I think I could build it using Bricklink or other sites if I had to). While there was a Spider Man 2 Electro polybag I would like to get my hands on, I am happy that the Rocket Raccoon figure was released recently as a polybag, instead of having to miss out on the SDCC Raccoon minifig. I know there need to be promos to attract customers, but I hope that other opportunities will be given, like with Rocket Raccoon, and the Lego Store Employee minifig (available in January with calendar coupon).
