LEGO Mixels Toy Fair Report

Post by vynsane » Mon Feb 16, 2015 3:55 pm

Along with the already-released series 4, both series 5 and 6 were on display at Toy Fair. The price for each packet remains $4.99, and Series 5 will see release in June with 6 following in October. I don't know which names (already disclosed via Brickset after the London Toy Fair) go with which characters, neither do I know the tribe names. I have an email in to my contact at the LEGO booth for more information on that front.

The yellow "construction equipment" looking tribe seems to come with the Nixel King:

I like how there are themes, like the construction ones and the steam-punk ones. The purple one with two mouths is neat. What is the lighter color? Is it more a light purple or a pinkish purple? Hard to tell from the lighting.

Do some of them look bigger than the standard size?

yeah they do look a little bigger. I do like the mixels. I haven't bought too many but i do like them. they are fun to look at and really are a lego theme. the fact that you can take one set and make it into something else with another and move parts around to make something different is brilliant and for $5 a pack. it is perfect.

These all look really good. The tongue on that yellow one in Series 5 is "interesting".

I love the colors & designs of both these series. I'm happy to see the gold Nixel - great face & I like the gold crystal on his head. I like the various eye combos such as the magnifying glass. My mom loves Mixels so I'll need to get her at least one of each too. I'm glad the price is still $5, because kids can save up their allowances to buy them. So far the only Mixels I don't like are series 2
