Oh well, I will keep looking
Re: Walmart clearance 2015
saw some tags today but no sets $11 Malibu Mansion and $35 Phoenix Flying Fire Temple. Did find 2 Star Wars Barc Speeders for $7, but walmarts are pretty bare in my area.
Re: Walmart clearance 2015
I found 2 Spinlyn's Cavern sets and 1 Razar's Chi Raider for $11 each. Other stuff was still at 30% or more.
Re: Walmart clearance 2015
Got a B-Wing for $15 and saw the city museum break- in set for $21, they had a bunch, I'll probably go get that one tomorrow.

My Walmart just did a nice price cut on a few clearance sets got a city museum break in for $21 (was 35 Friday) and saw a bunch of battle for smallville's for $15 (was 25 on Friday). Also picked up a chima lion beast for $3.

Re: Walmart clearance 2015
Wanted to inform you guys of my experience with Walmart yesterday using BrickSeek’s Walmart Widget. I live in Central Florida 34747, and the sets were Ice Cream Machine for $9 and AT-AP for $15.
Before my failed trip a Walmart yesterday, I already figured that the threshold that BrickSeek is working with “Est Qty in Stock: 2 or More” was too low. It’s too easy (and too common) for 1-2 boxes to get stolen, destroyed, dropped behind some nasty shelf, etc, etc. So I knew that it really should be “3 or More” if people are going to rely on it NOT to get burned. I know that 3 or even 4 boxes could just as easily disappear, however allowing a variance of up to 2 sets, by way of raising the threshold to “3 or More” would make a huge difference.
BrickSeek’s Target Widget shows the exact number their system shows. Obviously that’s so much better, but it’s overkill because Targets can usually be relied on. In comparison most Walmarts in my area are hell holes that should not be trusted.
So yesterday I took the info from the WM widget and set off to a local hell hole and of course could not find either of the 2 sets I came for that read “2 or More” in stock. I am quite thorough, completely scouring the entire toy area, checking behind every row of Lego (and even non-Lego), and in the clearance section by gardening. I knew it was too good to be true, and that’s what I get for relying on WM.
What was even more frustrating is this morning I went online to place an order for those 2 phantom sets. WM accepted my orders at the exact same location I was at yesterday. I even played with the order to test out their stock, and they would only let me order 1 set of each basically telling me they only have qty of 1 in their system. Immediately after I placed each order, I went back on the WM widget to see if anything changed. Sure enough each time I ordered, each of the sets went to “out of stock” at that location. I have been watching the stock from the widget for almost 24hrs now for any change, and nothing, so there’s ZERO chance that someone else simultaneously ordered the same set(s) which would explain why it went out of stock after ordering just 1. I did a search right before I placed my order and separately right afterwards, and this was before 7:30am.
It went from 2 or More, to out of stock, with me ordering only 1 set, that they don’t actually have. And as if anyone had to guess the ending to this story – WM just texted me that neither set is in stock and my orders are cancelled. Surprise, surprise.

With those prices I would have to consider it, what location is the question...LegoImagination wrote:He is in the Los Angeles area... Seems to be in northern part of LA too. Re: Walmart clearance 2015
FloridaBrick, I've tried to order supposedly in-stock items off the app only to have them canceled a few times over the past couple weeks. It's frustrating!
A Wal-Mart I visit regularly has had a ton of old clearance (Castle, Hobbit 1, Monster Fighters) for months and I went by last week and it's all gone. I couldn't find it in the garden center, seasonal clearance, or the toy section. Do Wal-Marts sometimes send old stock somewhere?

They take them off stock and put them in the 40 foot shipping containers out back until next year. My local store is just now pulling stock from last year and putting it on clearance.

Yep and sometimes if it's really old or just too much I think they donate them and write them off.911diecast wrote:unduli wrote:FloridaBrick, I've tried to order supposedly in-stock items off the app only to have them canceled a few times over the past couple weeks. It's frustrating!

I found A lone Merida's highland games for $9.00. Hadn't seen this one hit that low yet-seems like a good price if you're looking.

Re: Walmart clearance 2015
I have been checking the Walmart App pretty consistently for Walmarts in my area. (following up on sets I know are marked down, hoping to snag them when they get an additional markdown. Joker Steamroller, MIlano, Benny's Spaceship, etc)
This morning I found a store about 30 miles away with Benny's Spaceship for $20
I placed an order half expecting it to be cancelled, but because it let me order 3 I had a glimmer of hope to get at least 1.
To my surprise they are all ready for pick up! (I saw it on the app last night for $50 and was tempted to buy then, but held off, and this morning it was $20, but none of the other sets I have checked were marked down) Other stores in my area have it at $74, so not sure what is up with the $20 price?
(I have had about 18 orders cancelled over the last month when trying this tactic. All for items not in stock, but got lucky for once)

Re: Walmart clearance 2015
I ordered a $15 Movie Castle last week, OOS, magically came back for $9. I found Milano for $35 even though I still have one for $40 at a different store. I'm canceled 90% of the time anyways, so what the hell?
Re: Walmart clearance 2015
Found a lone AT-AP for $17 and a Milano for $35.
