I think the elf will be the "army guy" that everyone will get. Fisherman and gorillia will be the second most sought after figures.

Many of them are too similar like Tennis and base ball player and space alien and villian. The wrestler is really not needed.

I will try for samurai warrior, tribal chief, hulu dancer and fisherman. All the rest are very bland.

What really upsets me is that there's not much "Collectible" about these - they were all to be found in some form in one older set or another.

Gotta have the elf! Gorilla suit is a hoot, looks like the mummy might have wrap around printing which would be awesome! Glad to see some new sports accesories too : )
From one blockhead to another, play well!

I'll be joining you on the crudload of elves. I've already picked up some stuff from the Brickforge sale to outfit them.

The Elf looks awesome! Finally something that resembles Lord of the Rings in LEGO!

Why oh why has LEGO not yet come out with a LOTR genre? It would be incredible!

Maybe Tolkein / Peter Jackson won't let them?????

Tolkiens dead and I don't think peter jackson owns the films. But maybe it's his grand kids or cost issue.

LOL, I know Tolkein is dead :)

Jackson might not own the films...but his role as director, or whoever brought the characters to life from the pages of the book to the big screen, someone out there must be saying 'no' to a LOTR LEGO genre because it would be a hit for sure!

When the lotr movies came out there was plenty of merchandising going on on there was a mini fig set NOT lego brand. Pretty poor quality honestly, kept falling apart with gentle handling. I would love to have lotr legos though. I suppose we already have trolls, orcs, knights, wizards, dwarves, easily made hobbits (just use short leg pieces), and once we get elves it wouldn't be to hard to make our own lotr armies.

I think that this series is alright after taking a good look at the new pics.

The ones I'm interested is the fisherman, pilot (the head looks like Mr. Moneybags from Monopoly), the baseball player and the space villian.

Is it me or do I see that oddly familar B on the chest of the space villian? Did something just say Blacktron? =D

What I think is funny is that we've had no votes for the race car driver yet.

Well, if there were barcodes on this edition of CMFs you'd be able to build your own racing team.

Since there aren't, my guess is lots of people will have unwanted race car drivers they'd be willing to trade.

He's been done before in so many iterations of LEGO racers that just a few changes isn't going to cut it for most people.

On the other hand, most of the Ferrari LEGO Racer sets have been really expensive, so being able to pick up a race car driver minifigure for $2-$3 is cool.

That link takes me to a Spanish Siemans Catalog and some screws. Is this some sort of new stock for Toys R Us.
