Usual periods for double VIP point?

For what it's worth, I just checked with a local store and the clerk laughed at the question. He said that he is only able to officially tell me that it's the 1st to the 14th....but I should probably call back on the 30th to confirm.

I asked at the Lego store at Guildford Mall Surrey today. The employee said that they have not yet received word of double VIP being extended, but he thought it might. He also thought that the Christmas train would be available Oct 1, so who know?
