[USA] Kmart Additional 50% off clearance toys.

one kmart had woody's roundup for 19.50 another had roundup(23.50), claw catcher(9.50), and a TIE Defender(20.50) on sale. I waled out with the defender. gonna check a few more tonight.

I picked up 2 copies of the Toy Story train for $30 each and 2 copies of Buzz Lightyear's ship for $12.50. They also had 3 copies of the toy story dump truck in the clearance aisle, but it did not have a clearance sticker on it and still rung up at $19.99 (original price). I commented that it did not make sense that two of the three sets were clearance, but they wouldn't budge on the dumptruck. I'll go back on Monday and check again!

The K-Mart in Annandale, VA has a relatively limited selection of sets on clearance. The clearance toys are in the garden section, far from the toy section. Nothing there I was looking for, unfortunately.

Here is what I remember.

Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub (2 or 3 copies)
Atlantis 8061 Gateway of the Squid (appx 6 copies)
Hero Factory 7160 Drop Ship (appx 6 copies)

I scanned several Toy Story 3 sets and they all came up at the regular price. Hope this might be helpful to someone else.

Thanks for the post. Grabbed 2 Gateways for $15 each, 2 Jagged Jaws Reefs for $7.50 each and a Construct-a-Buzz for $7.50

No luck with the other TS3 sets though like the army men or lotso's dump truck.

I tried this tonight too...got a dumptruck for 7.50, but the 5 command ships they had rang up at 36.99! The other 2 kmarts I went to still had them for 29.99 and the dumptrucks for 19.99. really want to get a cheap command ship. my mom just told me she has $15 in kmart rewards points I can have so I'm gonna go back for the round up set I found for $19 tomorrow.

The problem with K-Mart is their staff has no idea what's going on in the stores. They never have any knowledge of current sales. It would also make sense to have the same clearance items at each location, but it's never the case with them. One location I visited yesterday had over 20 Lotso's Trucks, and another had roughly 50 Construct-A-Buzz's.

I was able to find 2 Toy Story trains with a $48 sticker on them, but they were ringing up at $30. It took some time, but I argued it down to $24 a piece.

I was able to get the hoth(rebel and imperial) battle packs for 6 bucks each after I explained to them that they has a reduced sticker of regular price of 11.99. They are clueless. They never do anything correct. Thanks guys for all your help.

clearance sticker for the reg price like alot of other sets there. Lego Kingdoms Prison Tower Rescue, Lego Seaplane, Police minifigures etc.... but I got 50% off becuase know one knew if they should be or not. I explained to htme they were in the clearnace section. They agreed and asked an employee to see what the scoop was in the dept. I left with a bagfull of goodies!!

The Seattle Kmart had one Gateway of the Squid for $15 bucks. It was the only LEGO set on clearance. When I was back at the car - I noticed the box had been ever so carefully re-sealed. I opened it up right there and was greeted with open poly bags, missing poly bags, hairballs, and a half built set.

Glad I noticed before getting all the way home

I don't think the inventory locator is working that well. When I went last week I checked the locator and sets that I know were on the shelf were listed as unavailable. I would not rely on it, you might want to call your store.
