Better pictures have been taken and posted on FBTB: http://www.fbtb.net/2012/10/09/the-hobb ... more-16404" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They certainly are of a higher quality.

Here are High Def pictures of the actual sets on groove bricks. Not the poster...(though the escape from the barrels set is not included)

Could you give a link to the contest? I couldn't find it online.

The roof comes off the set easily. :)

I dig all these sets except for the barrel escape.. not that it's a bad set just that the subject matter doesn't really entice me. I'm much more into skulls and spiders and goblins

My review for the Riddles set! It's pretty good for $10!

I should have my Bag End and Riddles sets today. I will probably build Bilbo's house this weekend or wait until Thanksgiving holiday.

I was dissapointed that Kmart sold out of the Wargs , which I will be buying at least 2 of. Really want the spiders for the minis.
Maybe TRU will have some decent Lego sales after Christmas.

Why does Bifur have an axe in his head?

I just got attack of the wargs yesterday and on Bifurs hair/beard piece there is what looks like a weird metal thing near his bangs/forehead area.

I google searched what it was and I come to find out it is a piece of an axe that is stuck in his head.

I don't remember that from the book. I guess it is permanent enough that Lego produced the minifig with it there. I just thought it was strange.
