Looks like business is booming for Lego if the best they have to do is 20% off clearance after Christmas.
At seems so doesn't it?
I may end up shopping on bricklink instead.... :shh:

If any of you were planning on getting the Technic Supercar from this sale, you might as well get it from Amazon France as posted by the admin in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=54&t=7766" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For Canadians, even if you end up paying around $20 at the door, it's still about 30% off the Canadian retail price.

I'm actually glad the sale sucks so I don't feel tempted to spend money I don't have. And now Lego won't have either. They're being scrooges this year so I'm gonna scrooge them right back.

lol them being scrooges this year gives me a good reason to spend my money on discontinued sets such as the UCS star wars sets :-D

I understand the more you sell the less that needs to be on sale.

But this is pitiful. LEGO raises the prices of sets 25% in the last few years. Less pieces, less mini figures, more money and they have "sales" like this?

Even with tax, I hate you Deval Patrick, Amazon sales are still better! And free shipping for bigger sets.

Then why is the MF Zombies set 20% off? Are there any of these sets still on store shelves, because they've out stock online for awhile?

Maybe Minecraft will be put sale 20% off as well! :-D

Just to note that the MF zombies set was in stock (though it was quite limited) on the US s@h last Friday. :)

WHat a surprise ! Most of items are sold out at online store. I will try to get some of them at a local store near my home.

My wallet thanks the Lego group. I was going to be stuck 3 hours away from my local store on the 26th now I see I don't have anything to worry about.

Also Targets around here are already almost completely cleared out of clearance sets so no worries there either.

looks like the only thing left is the naboo starfighter at $10 off. the rest is showing up as sold out. i passed on it at $15 at my local targets, thinking it might go deeper after xmas... i was wrong. it sold out pretty quickly at the 30% off. oops. oh well... more money for future sets i guess. horizon express, choo choo!

No point buying anything online as the shipping costs kill any deal instantly... 20% off (a very limited number of sets) plus shipping is a joke...

10193 - Medieval Market Village
10217 - Diagon Alley

Those are also 20% off in the stores.

I'm tempted but not sure if I should make the gamble to lineup for the Lego Store on Boxing Day. This would be in hopes of the store itself having other things on sale other than the ones listed and maybe getting a high valued scratch card. At the same time though, I've heard that only the first 300 get a scratch card plus the discount doesn't apply on top of things that already have a discount...

The other stuff I kinda need and was looking to buy on Boxing Day was dress shirts and dress pants...I guess I can get that anywhere and it'll be worth the gamble right...? Or not...?

I assume for the parents and other adults who are not as educated on Lego pricing and buy just whatever their kids want, they'll see these prices as a "good" deal and sale, but for those like us that are savvy with Lego deals this is pretty lame.

Diagon Alley...hmmm that's tempting. I already got one but this set seems to have some potential on the resale market. Are those two US only or also Canada? How'd you get that info?
