Tons of inventory. I was hoping 3181 was on clearance, but it was not.

Wow, I'm surprised the Cars2 sets are already on clearance! They didn't give them much of a chance. Although my store did not have them on clearance.

I have been keeping an eye on them waiting for them to drop again. Wednesday they were still at 50% off.
Today I scanned them but the price scanner says "Item Not Found".
I stopped a clerk and had him scan them, he said they hit Salvage and are no longer for sale.. BUT since they are still on the shelves they can honor the 50% off.

I got a Kingdoms Outpost for $13.xx (last one) and the Kingdoms Prisoner Transport for $7.68.
There were a ton of Ostrich Races last week at two locations. It looks like someone bought them all once they hit 75%.

Same thing by my target. The clearance shelves the sets were on were restocked with new items. They never dropped them to 75%.

I don't know about the term "salvage", but I know from a friend that used to work at Target that they send some things to Goodwill stores. You can sometimes find discontinued Lego at Goodwills.

Thanks for the heads up people. Went to my local Target and like a shimmering mirage a clearance aisle was there where there previously was none. Prince of Persia Ostrich race and Desert attack were there, 50 and 30 percent off respectively. CMF Series 4 was marked down to some weird number 2.08 (almost 30% off). Cars 2 Duplo sets were in the discount aisle too. I thought these just came out.

I thought I saw some Star Wars sets but don't take my word for it. I don't like them much and don't keep track of them.

Going to the checkout I also saw the 8 dollar sets. Nice selection for a last minute addition.

At my local target, they had the slave I for $55.xx, pizza truck for half off, tie defender 50% off, and some others with minor discounts. They seemed to be fully stocked. There wasn't really anything I needed, although I was tempted by the slave I.

There's about a dozen Targets around here, and most of them have a few sets for 30% off. Only one I've been to had some POP sets for 50% off. I'm guessing they'll be resetting the toy aisles for Christmas next month, and they're making way for the new sets. I'm holding out for 50% off on the Pharoah's Quest and Castle sets.

Target near me had the tiny Atlantis impulse priced at around $3.50. They also had plenty of that transforming mech Atlantis set but I didn't price check it.

I price checked Scarab Attack but it was full price ($5.00).

They had no PoP at all.

Only the squid gate was 30% off at my Target (Stevens Creek, CA), nothing else, not even CM4.

Has anyone noticed Target started to jack up prices? Almost everything was marked up beyond TRU levels at both of my Targets. :x

Targets in my area (NC) have hardly anything (only Hogwarts Castle) above MSRP.

Went to a couple over the weekend and found some pop sets but they rang up 0.00 and once i brought them up they told me they couldnt sell them cause they were salvage. Tried getting them to sell me them to me. One store wouldnt and the other store would only sell it at the last listed price. Which wasnt much of a deal. Wasnt a complete waste though got a Toy Story Train Set 7597 for $39.99. Could never find one when it was clearance in Kmart.

Target and KMart sales vary greatly per store. I was at a Target yesterday and they only had a few things on sale for 25% off, like the little $5 sets and PQ sets.

Westgate Target has 7596 Trash Compactor Escape, 7207 Fire boat, 7598 Pizza Truck (from $45.49 ), 8061 Squid Gate and 4737 Quidditch Match (from $22.99) at 30% off. No SW or Cars sets clearanced though...

They also had the yellow truck but forgot to check it. Alot of 2011 sets just got their prices jacked up big time.

Sacramento Rancho Cordova store had some 4737 Quidditch Match for 9.98. That was the only 50% off I saw there.
