Was just at the Walmart at Markham Rd and Steeles Ave. They have Lighthouse Island (5770) on clearance, it's marked as $40 but scans for $30. That's 40% off MSRP. They also had Apple Tree House (5891) on clearance for $30. It's MSRP is $60, so that's 50% off.

They Walmart on Welland Avenue in St. Catharines also has this at the same price. They had 2 of these when I was there earlier tonight.

Just hit the Hamilton mountain store, they've got a couple of Star Wars Bounty Hunter ships left at $30, and the Space Shuttle at $25. No other clearance sets, but a few of the Heroica Games at good discounts.

Went to the Fairview Walmart in Burlington. Got an Apple Tree House for $30 and a Recycling Truck for $20. There were more Recycling Trucks (reg. price is $40), but I think I got the last ATH.

The Walmart at 3132 Eglington Avenue East, Scarborough actually had a Friends set on sale. Olivia's Speedboat (3937) was selling for $5 (msrp is $12.99), they still had 4 more.

The Walmart in Vancouver had the Vampyre Hearse and Werewolf sets for $20 and the Swamp Creature for $5 last weekend. By the time I got there, only Swamp Creatures were left. Blew me away that Monster Fighters would be on clearance for 50+% off already.

It is kind of shocking that such a new theme would be found on clearance already, but it should come to no surprise (if you've browsed the US Walmart Clearance thread) that a lot of times, LEGO in particular, items put on 'clearance' doesn't necessarily mean they are old. It's more of a stock/inventory issue. If a particular store has waaay too much of something, regardless of how new, there's a chance it may go to clearance so that they can clear it out to make room for new stock. It's not uncommon for stores to replenish said item after it's been on clearance, and be back at regular price. That's why clearance prices vary from store to store, because every store a inventory situation is different.

At the Scarborough Walmart on Eglinton East, close to Markham Road there's the following listed on the Walmart website (select 3132 Eglinton East as "My Store" first):

My local WalMarts don't have any of these deals... wish they did. Those are some great prices for relatively recent sets!

Oh man...good thing you mentioned this to me. I made a bit of a boo boo that I'll explain below...at the moment, the deal if they should have stock is still alive at a different Walmart location IN Scarborough, on Eglinton East, but different from the original one I stated in my first post.

So when I was looking through Walmart locations that were accessible to me on the website, one of the locations that popped up was a Scarborough location on 3132 Eglinton East. Now, in the address part of it, I only caught the "Eglinton East" part and automatically assumed it was the one at Eglinton/Warden. I looked up Scarborough Walmart locations again today, turns out the one I was looking at yesterday was NOT the Eglinton/Warden location but rather a different/new location that I wasn't aware of. The one I was looking up the prices for "Scarborough" was actually at Eglinton & Markham Road. The one that is at Eglinton/Warden (1900 Eglinton East) is titled "Scarborough West". By the looks of it on a map, the Eglinton & Markham Road ("Scarborough" location) one seems to be where Cedabrae Mall is (perhaps taking over the Zellers that use to be there).

With that said, it seems like the scanners in that Eglinton/Warden (Scarborough West) location were right in saying it was still regular price. However, the discount I got was still a valid and legitimate one because that means they were technically giving me a price-match. If a different Walmart within a certain radius of the one you're at has it for a lower and has it in stock, they will price-match that other location on certain occasions it seems. Looks like the cashier was unintentionally right in calling it a price-match.

In short, the Eglinton & Markham Road (3132 Eglinton East) location might have the discounts I mentioned in THIS post if the website is in order.

Really? I didn't know they price match against other Walmarts. I've been to the Eglinton East location looking for those "deals" a few weeks ago but none were in stock.

I've never intentionally price-matched at Walmart until what I unintentionally did it yesterday but according to a post made by Kasmca but every now and then you might be lucky in price matching a clearance item if the location you are price-matching from has it in-stock I guess. If it isn't clearance there shouldn't be an issue.

I personally have not went down to the 3231 Eglinton East location to check stock numbers myself but if there's any of the sets I mentioned, they should be that price as the website lists it for the same. Worth a shot I guess.

BTW, sorry for the constant edits. Trying to make sure I have the correct info posted so that I'm not misleading others.

Is there some iPhone walmart price scanner app? Googling seems to indicate there is an official walmart app I could use, but for some reason, it doesnt show up in the app store for me.

Edit: figured that out, the walmart app is not available in Canada. Drat. Would I need to scan every lego set by hand to get the actual store price? :(
