[CUUSOO] Firefly Serenity playset

One question : If the creator of non-CUUSOO models put the model in question up for sale, would someone buy it? At 20 cents / part (convert to your favorite currency), 30 cents ? 40 cents? $1 / part. I'm using pennies/part as a ratio, but that's just for reference as the creator would value it at the amount it would take to replace the bricks, time spent, etc. It seems like these creations would be difficult for someone to part with since the amount of personal investment is huge.

It would be interesting to ask the creators at what price they would sell their unique model.

For all the supporters and doubters alike, it looks like soon we will hear word on the Back to the Future time machine being passed review and on the way to hitting store shelves. What makes me say this? Check out the CUUSOO page. Apparently it has reached the "product" stage.

EDIT: It seems like the other three projects "in review" have also been approved and are at the "product stage". So, good news all around for fans of the Western Modular Town, Legend of Zelda, and the Eve Rifter! Personally, the BttF Time Machine has me the most excited.

Um, the Serenity set was rejected on May 8th. I think you posted this in the wrong thread.

In any case, the poster on Brickset is mis-informed. According to this blog from Lego, the entire process takes at least 6-8 weeks (plus the undetermined Business Case Development and License Agreement phase).

As the projects only entered review on June 4rth, we have at least another month to wait before we know for sure regarding any of these four projects.
