Finally can post one on here. Walmart is clearing out the Magikus game for $2. My boys both have birthdays coming up so I grabbed a bunch for the kid's loot bags.

Right now it's at $49, and the original MSRP was $35. Looks like more than 1 in stock. I always hear people saying how much stock Amazon has on particular items, but their stock seems to fluctuate wildly, usually dropping down to a few left only to pop back up to dozens or hundreds.

I missed out on this set. That's a tempting price. It has 3 minifigures that aren't in any other set (queen, prince, and wizard). I wonder if there will be a 2011 advent calendar.

Yep Star Wars Advent Calendar http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.p ... opic=51896" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd imagine there will be a City one also.

Earlier I saw prices at 60ish. Since the queen and prince are unique and I haven't a wizard or bar maid I went for it.

Well mine wasn't a "bargain", but I was happy to find it. We were on vacation and I checked out a local toy shop and they had Brickbeard's Bounty http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=6243-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It was at MSRP of $99.99 but I was happy to find it for my pirate loving daughter since it is discontinued and Ebay prices were not friendly.

I just wish they had other sets available at that store. Fortunately we drove to our vacation destination so bringing it home wasn't an issue ;)

MSRP is a "bargain" when it is discontinued.

I know, it just pains me to pay MSRP. ;) I just wish I knew which themes my daughter would like in advance!

Just buy them all and you don't have to worry! ;)

I love weird finds like that. A few years ago, when my son was just getting into LEGO, I found a store in a tiny town that had some really old LEGO sets, like the original road plates - still priced at the original MSRP! They probably stuck them on the shelf in the 80's and just hadn't sold them all yet.

Too bad independent retailers like that are getting so scarce.

Went to visit my mom back in her small town. We took my sons garage saling and at our 2nd sale found a complete 6285 black seas barracuda for 2 bucks in a shoe box. Only had 2 of the 8 minifigures but oh well.

I come here mainly as a spectator, wishing it was me who had gotten the deal. Well, today I join the ranks of the best. I went to a yard sale this morning and found a bucket of bricks for 25 dollars. Thing weighed about 15 pounds. Just spent the last few hours sorting out crap to make a genuine Lego bucket.
*Large Image sizes*
All the trash finally out of the way.

Mega Bloks and Tyco put aside.

Minifigs and cool pieces separate.

Toys/ Odds & Ends removed.

Genuine Lego Bucket.

So, in the end, I had about ten pounds of regular Lego left in the bucket. I'm not sure how many people here enjoy Mega Blok/Tyco/No Name Brand but I am willing to ship it to someone for the cost of shipping. Just PM me if you're interested. There seems to be a skate park/ intense games kind of set and a blue camaro that's bigger and doesn't have all parts. No Name brand is red, white and blue and features slopes and windows-probably a basic architecture line.

I think I spotted some Lego parts in your tyco pile. The yellow single stud with a ball connection is actually from 70s before the minifigs. Used mainly as the maxi figs hands. It's actually quite a useful part.

The little dotted numbers in your trash pile are from lego sports sets.

Cara- they're not bricks, and they're kind of beat-so I don't want them. I've kept the ones I already own in much better condition.
Thanks for the heads up natelite. There were a few of these and I had thrown some in the Lego bin. Then when I separated the piles which were too close together I must have done a push in the wrong way first. Nice catch.

I felt a little nostalgic running through the bucket. The little pieces of other toys, candy wrappers, and craft sticks reminded me of the little odd or end that fell into my buckets when I was younger. And how would people draw a picture of me after I'm gone with just my lego buckets to draw inspiration from? It's an outline for anyone who spends a great deal of time with toys in a funny, basic way.

Have fun.
Jared

Wow, nice! I can figure out 2 GE, 2 FB and 2 PS for $600 shipped (plus tax), but not the diagon Alley.

TRU B1G1 50% + $25 off for Mastercard = 2 of each of the formers for $200 ($600 total).

Just picked up the airport set at TRU for $60 (Canadian). The front of the box was ripped open, but I pulled out all the stuff and unless I missed something, its all there. Over 50% off for a torn box, not to shabby.

That great! The TRU near me doesn't give discounts on opened or damaged LEGO sets.
