Lego Movie Happy Meals at McDonalds

My wife just brought my son to the McD's here in Alberta and can confirm all you get is a Emmett cup. No bricks... *ahh shucks*

picked the kids up happy meals on Friday and both had cup #1 in them, the pink one, not the kitty.

We've gotten a couple happy meals knowing the cups would be with them. We use all sorts of containers to sort and cups work well for scooping and storing (to a certain degree). If they had covers they'd be perfect. The lenticular effect is cool and after seeing the movie I like them a little better. I would love to get some cups without buying food though.

we picked up Wildstyle on Saturday after hitting TRU. My daughter really likes it. I was surprised that the quality is quite good..it is not flimsy.

in the past, I have been able to buy extra toys w/out food for $1.49-$2. You could ask the next time you go. The meals have gotten pricey IMO, that fry portion is only 10-12 fries!

That is a good question, I totally forgot to look last week . Unfortunately it is not maked BPA-free on the cup and it is #7 plastic which I believe is not great.

Looks like #7 is a catch-all and could be almost anything. I don't think it's recyclable from the garbage pick-up.

Sidebar: The one time we did a McD happy meal in recent memory was to get a Shrek movie glass. It turned out to have lead on it and was in the news, so we returned it to the restaurant for disposal. Who knows how much of that cheap stuff slips through without anyone figuring out...

As long as you all use them for scooping and storing (as legogod suggests), you should be okay, as long as no one has a habit of licking their bricks!
