Interesting LEGO Facts at Target

ABullseyeView has some interesting LEGO facts for Target's Toy Department. And its no doubt that LEGO is the top brand in the Toy's department!

Here are a few highlights:

wish list! December is the biggest month for LEGO sales at Target

Hopefully, Target will start offering gift cards with LEGO toys like before. The Target LEGO Bullseye Dog Gift Card was very popular back in 2011. Check out forum member Legobrandon's review for more details regarding this set.

They have 2-3 different gift cards with toys, the toys are just silly. They have a dog bobble head I just saw last week.

Oh rats, I saw the image in the front page before reading the whole thing and for a second I thought the cards were back! I never got one back then and I was hopping to finally get one (or two... )

when Target was packaged a Lego set with their gift cards I bought them for my siblings...

I think they stopped doing the Lego gift cards because most people ( myself included, not realizing what I was doing) bought the gift cards, then took the Lego off and cashed them in right away. Target can track all that info... hopefully they come back though

A few years ago I had to go to three Target stores before I found these. That store only had three cards left. I bought them & gave them to my mom who also loves LEGO. I'm hoping they bring these back!

I went to one and bought 3 and then another an hour or so later and used the gift cards to buy three more.

Target doesn't care as long as they have your money.

Last time I visited my younger sibling, I saw the Target Lego dog and snowman in their home office. I did not buy any Target Lego gift cards for myself... and I didn't get any as a gift either. They were quite rare in the DC Area Target stores where I live so I remembered ordering my Target Lego dog gift cards from Target.com and sending them directly to my siblings. The next year I got two Target snowman Lego set gift cards the day they came out at the area stores. The following year Target dropped the Lego gift card from their winter holiday gift cards. Every Winter holiday - I check if there is a Target Lego gift card - but so far they have not come back....

There were two models. One from 2010 and then 2011. The 2011 version is superior, but even 2010 was pretty awesome for free LEGO. The packaging was quite cool as they were able to wedge all the pieces into the smallest space possible. I've never seen them do that for any other case. I bought as many as I could. When you couldn't find them in the store, you could order them online, but it was a minimum of $25 per card in that case.

When 2012 came around and no LEGO promo was to be found, I was devastated. With those gift cards, I shopped a lot more at Target. So hopefully they will come back. They could do something clever like Target employee minifig (w/ cart and/or checkout). It would be epic.
