I genuinely hope these sets are from the Lego Batman Movie theme and not the regular DC comics theme. I was very much looking forward to a year filled with loads of DC minifigs unrelated to Batman. Reverse Flash/Proff. Zoom, Malefic, Miss Martian, White Martian's, An actual minifigure version of Darkseid (not a big fig fan), Atrocitous, Trigon, Doctor Fate, Aqua Lad, John Constantine, Damien Darhk, Raven, and so many other awesome characters that we wont get if Lego/DC remains determined to give us Batman, Batman, and more Batman along with rehashes of all of his villains.

I think you should watch the trailer. You will be pleasantly surprised.

The movie does look hilarious and I like some of the minifigure parts being offered. Such as Harley Quinn's new hairpiece, Robins hairpiece with glasses. Although I haven't decided for certain how much I like the new Joker minifig I am glad to see a very different version than we've had in the past.
They've done a great job with Jokers car.
I do very much agree with Benson669 though. I want entirely new characters and I hope this isn't all that we're getting from the DC universe. Instead of another nearly identical Batman (I know this one has a utility belt...
) it would have been very easy for them to have created a very different variant with some printing and no new molds. Look at the many many different costumes (even in his red robe) that he has in the trailer. That would have been fun. Or better yet... no Batman at all. At this point people can so easily find a Batman minifig on ebay if they need a "regular" Batman. The set includes Robin... That's one good guy and is enough for play with the "Batmobile" or better yet.. give us a completely new hero minifig in the set.
Alfred (this version) would have been great with Robin and the Batmobile.

I think we are finally getting a Raven minifig with LEGO dimensions although I'm assuming its a little more "cartoon/TeenTitanGO" version than I prefer. I would love to have a version without her hood (as she appears in first Teen Titans series quite often).bensen669 wrote:I genuinely hope these sets are from the Lego Batman Movie theme and not the regular DC comics theme. I'm cool with the hood, to be honest. I'm just genuinely hoping Lego doesn't try to out-do themselves and create a new mold for that odd feathered helmet look she has had in past years. With DC rebirth she appears to be more or less back to the purple cloak and hood look that she is most famous for, so you're probably right with that being the most obvious choice for Lego to go with, and lets be real, it would be the easiest version to do and would please the most fans.
