[Bricklink] Setting Up A Store?

Post by Mantisking » Tue Oct 05, 2010 6:09 am

Does anyone here have their own Bricklink store? If you do, can you tell me what the process was like for setting it up? I think I'm hitting the point where I have enough extra parts to sell some of them off.

well the more parts you have to list in your store the better, since selection attracts, but then again so does Price and customer care, as a seller my sales and shipping have always been flawless, in fact never received a Neutral or Negative as a seller nor had any of my customers complain.

the problem with alot of sellers is they think customers are there for them, they are not, if you want to make sales and keep repeat customers coming back you have to treat your customers well.

I've got a shop I set up a few months ago because of a few sets I got on 50% clearance. I originally tried to sell the sets themselves, but decided to part them out, and I'm glad I did, as orders have been trickling in ever since. The inventorying system is okay, although it only gives you the option to set all prices to the 'current for sale average' or 'last 6 months sales average' which can make you less competitive. I had to go through and see what the lowest price was for each piece in each set I was adding to my inventory.

Manually adding pieces might be a hassle, I don't know, as I used the 'part out' feature for the sets I had.
