When I opened the polybag, the torso and legs were damaged - legs had a rubbed down corner and the torso had a stress fracture. Luckily the head and hair were undamaged.
So I emailed Amazon, and they got back to me right away saying they would ship out a replacement immediately, free of charge. I got it yesterday and it's undamaged and I'm happy.
However, I was waiting to get the thing, expecting to see some clarification on if they want me to ship back the damaged one. The only reason I think that is because of the wording of the email response I got, because it mentioned printing out a label to send the damaged item in. But it didn't say that returning the damaged one is mandatory or not doing it would incur some sort of wrath. Furthermore... this is a $4 item and would almost not be worth the shipping cost and trouble, or so I assume.
Anyone know if I should send the damaged one back, or just hang onto it? Anyone have this type of thing happen before?
Here's the email wording:
See? It doesn't really say I have to. *shrug*Hello,
