These are awesome. And it's such a villain thing to do to fashion their vehicles after menacing looking animals, especially the black stingray-looking one.

It's kind of inspired by the starfighters of the Comet Empire in Star Blazers.

Heh, that's what it looks like to me - the white underside, the windscreen with the barnacle-y pattern on it, big flipper-like wings...
