Technic SuperCar is normally $119, now $131
Millenium Falcon has been $149 normally, but in the last 2 months around $109-$129, now $159. Still $139 at Wal-Mart and Target everyday.

Yeh I looked very early this morning and it was OOS....I was looking to pair up the Fire Brigade with something and saw it in....The problem is you can buy 2 Pet Shops in the BOGO(I tried and was debating, but went with the FB since it should be disappearing soon) so they will go very quickly....I hate the limit one, but at least they stay in stock for a few minutes longer.

They actually jacked it up TWICE in my area!! HP The Burrows was already raised to $80.99 recently. Checked yesterday...$89.99!!

KB Toys did not mark up most items too dramatically. About 20%, a lot of which I think was to cover rental of store space in malls and strip malls, but I could be wrong. When they did mark stuff down though, the markdowns were usually significant.

batwing can't combine with bogo, making it useless. no wonder it is still around.

the winter bakery however is a good deal! $55. i combo it with spongebob and a couple of gift cards to score more amex gift chain. not expecting much though. probably down to like $2.25 or $5 statement credit by now! lol

I think TRU is just adding a Christmas tax on almost everything this year, especially the 'newest' sets that only they have atm. They can get away with it because the majority of TRUs targets are the parents of uninformed buyers. Like people not matching up sets closely during BOGO, etc.

Last year as I was coming out of my Dark Age, I bought a TRU Truck 'on sale' from 'original' $49.99 (overpriced I thought, but only available @ TRU, so they can price where they want.) I ended up going back in January or February, and see'ing it again on sale, priced MUCH better... off the original $39.99 price or.. ?

So if they did it on one or two sets last year and were successful, why not do it this year?

Best (worst?) example of TRU changing prices is 4737, they jacked the price up to $37.99 up from normal retail of $19.99 :)

lightning dragon is $80 retail. it's not sold out, just a tru exclusive.

the quidditch match mark up is ridiculous. i thought sw mark up was bad, in particular the at-at which is discontinued after this christmas season. but apparently this set takes the cake!

good thing i got quite a few when target was clearing out the hp sets.

Thanks @natelite. The Lightning Dragon Battle is marked as sold out on both LEGO.com and TRU's site, and people started reporting that back in November. A search in my area listed VERY few stores that had any stock. So I suppose the real question is if they print another run. As usual, the LEGO guessing game is a fun part of this hobby!

As for the Harry Potter Quiddich stuff - ALL Harry Potter stuff has disappeared from the shelves of my local TRU, with multiple parents asking staff for it.
