[Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Update 2: In addition to their extra 10-15% off coupon, they also have a all week long FREE $10 Gift Card Coupon when you spend $40. (thanks striderhiryu)
Update: I read the flier wrong as its actually only BOGO 50% off LEGO City, Ninjago and Star Wars, not all LEGO themes. (thanks striderhiryu)
In addition to their Saturday only 63% off LEGO Specials, Zellers Canada will be offering a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off ALL LEGO Sale this week from December 16-22. Maximize your savings up to 25% off by purchasing sets of equal value. Also, it appears that the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar is now on clearance for $24.99 (reg.$49.99) which works out to be half price.
Plus, forum member striderhiryu informs us there is also a coupon for an extra 10-15% off on Saturday (Friday if Quebec). This makes the savings even better (especially the two 63% off LEGO sets) so visit our Sales & Deals Forum to take advantage of it!

Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Don't get your hopes up, Zellers are notorious for having next to nothing left in stock at this time of year, and most of them aren't all the well stocked to start with. Unless they are getting a shipment in from LEGO tomorrow that is.
I haven't seen any Star Wars advent Calendars in Zellers since the end of November, but it you can find any at $25, it might be worth buying, if only for the Santa Yoda.

Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
I couldn't find any either but I did see an empty shelve for that set with a $24.99 price tag. I bet they only had 1 shipment for these Advent Calendars. But just a heads up for people to lookout for it if they do plan on dropping by Zellers.hatcher wrote:Don't get your hopes up, Zellers are notorious for having next to nothing left in stock at this time of year, and most of them aren't all the well stocked to start with. Stores in Canada really sucks. Sales are weak and still, sets never make it to the clearance point (possibly because they order little). The Wal-Marts I've been to don't even have the Star Wars Advent Calendar for $34.99 and seems to never carry Series Minifigures either.

New West Walmart had a whole shelf full of 34.99 SW Calendars. They are NOT in the LEGO isle. I was there on Sunday.Ice wrote:I couldn't find any either but I did see an empty shelve for that set with a $24.99 price tag. I bet they only had 1 shipment for these Advent Calendars. Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Have you guys tried craigslist or kijiji for lego calendars. I just checked out the vancouver section and there are tons of sellers of lego obviously trying to capitalize on the holiday but once in a while you see some great deals. I bought the star wars advent calendar off two separate craigslist vendors. one for $30 and one for $35 both of course no tax. I quickly went back and got store credit on the ones I bought in late oct. from tru which comes to over $42 with taxes. These deals usually come from friends of employees who can get them cheaper or they have connections to the warehouses. The one i bought yesterday for $30 came from mastermindtoys - and the seller was a friend of a worker who got it cheap and decided to sell.
Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Just checked and wow... theres like 800 listings in Vancouver and only 200 listings in Toronto. Toronto should have a lot more since there's like 2.5 times more people compared to Vancouver. Lots of resellers here, that could be the reason why the Target and Wal-Mart at Bellingham always has nothing instock.ricefields wrote:Have you guys tried craigslist or kijiji for lego calendars. I passed the allowable 45 days return period from Toys R Us as I brought them in late October too. Do they still give you a store credit? I want to return the ones I brought for $40.ricefields wrote:I quickly went back and got store credit on the ones I bought in late oct. from tru which comes to over $42 with taxes. Online flyer only says "ALL Lego Star Wars, City and Ninjago", does it omit that somewhere else?Toys N Bricks wrote:In addition to their Saturday only LEGO Specials, Zellers Canada will be offering a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off ALL LEGO Sale this week from December 16-22. Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
I just looked at the Zellers flyer online and do not see anything about the City Corner set... my local Zellers does not have them in stock anyway but the local Walmart does and they price match if you bring in the flyer with the price. Where is the actual listing for the 63% off or could it just be an in store special somewhere?
Thanks, Brian

Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
And when they do go on clearance, it is only $5-$10 off, whereas in the US clearance sets seem to go for more 50% off!Ice wrote:Stores in Canada really sucks. Sales are weak and still, sets never make it to the clearance point (possibly because they order little).
Yeah, that is what I get with my postal code too.striderhiryu wrote:Online flyer only says "ALL Lego Star Wars, City and Ninjago", does it omit that somewhere else?
There's more than one flyer online; are you sure you checked the right flyer (second flyer, valid only on the 16th and the actual listing is on the fifth page)?111ins wrote:Where is the actual listing for the 63% off or could it just be an in store special somewhere?

Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
It is on the "Moonlight Madness" flyer.111ins wrote:I just looked at the Zellers flyer online and do not see anything about the City Corner set... my local Zellers does not have them in stock anyway but the local Walmart does and they price match if you bring in the flyer with the price. Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Sorry everyone, I read the flier wrong. It is indeed only City, Ninjago and Star Wars. I think its still quite good since those are the popular themes, not some lame Hero Factory sets.
The 63% off Specials along with $2.49 Breakfast is on the Moonlight Madeness Flier like Legobrandon mentioned.

Totally agree with you! I mean, Toys R Us clearance price for Star Wars Advent Calendar is 20% off???autobrick wrote:And when they do go on clearance, it is only $5-$10 off, whereas in the US clearance sets seem to go for more 50% off!Ice wrote:Stores in Canada really sucks. Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Since the BOGO sale is only City, Ninjago and SW, do you think I could purchase 2 City Corner sets for $29.99 each (not including BOGO), and then exchange one of them for a Blizzard's Peak set?

Re: [Canada] Zellers BOGO 50% off LEGO Sale
Trying to beat the system huh? Well, I don't see why not, given the lineup for return will be long during the day, so the CSRs will try to get you out of the way afap.Legobrandon wrote:Since the BOGO sale is only City, Ninjago and SW, do you think I could purchase 2 City Corner sets for $29.99 each (not including BOGO), and then exchange one of them for a Blizzard's Peak set?

Yes, store credit. by the time I realized I need to take it in, it was 47 days later and the cutoff is 45 days. Even though I don't buy alot from toysrus canada, and it might take me awhile to use the credit, there is always something that will come up...always somthing....(just want to be something like 25% off creator and they actually make the modular and large sets available...like the time I bought green grocer, taj mahal, and carousel!Ice wrote:Just checked and wow... theres like 800 listings in Vancouver and only 200 listings in Toronto. Thanks, I'll return them tommorow. Is it on a gift card or on a receipt?ricefields wrote: Yes, store credit. by the time I realized I need to take it in, it was 47 days later and the cutoff is 45 days. I was kind of bummed that I wouldn't be able to use the free $10 gift card coupon because I don't currently have easy access to a printer, but I read the small print and it turns out you can just show them the coupon on your smartphone! This way you can at least save on (ridiculously expensive) printer ink!
Unless they've changed their policy, TRU gives store credit on gift cards.Ice wrote: Thanks, I'll return them tommorow. Is it on a gift card or on a receipt?

Get a laser printer. They are just as helpful, but they can't print in colour. I got mine two years ago on boxing day, and the ink still hasn't run out.autobrick wrote:I was kind of bummed that I wouldn't be able to use the free $10 gift card coupon because I don't currently have easy access to a printer, but I read the small print and it turns out you can just show them the coupon on your smartphone! Just got back from Toys R Us and they refunded everything back in cash. Sweet!Ice wrote:Thanks, I'll return them tommorow.
