Lego OCTAN train car?

Lego OCTAN train car?

I Would like to build a few OCTAN train cars like the one that comes from the train set #7939.
I looked at possibly using the parts from the #3180 although without the set im unable to test the method.
If anyone has created OCTAN tankers i would appreciate any pointers or tips on parts to use, or kits (best if the kits are cheap) to cannabalize.

If you go to peeron.com and type in set 10016-1 It will give you a list of parts needed to make the tank car. Or try typing "Custom Lego Octan Train" in the ebay search field and you'll see what is for sale with nice pics to help you out with designs.

Some of those pieces are a little hard to come by though.
