Pros and cons of 9V trains and RC trains

Post by sadowsk1 » Thu May 31, 2012 6:21 am

I'm looking into getting a train for my son and I'm wondering whether a used 9V set would be good choice or getting a new RC train. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

I would vote for the 9V trains.
However due to availability issues, 9V would turn out to be much more expensive.
So might be a better idea to get current RC system.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

So, if I want to make my Emerald night train move, which engine set is the best (or the best price/value).
