Looks like there will be another remake of the Tumbler! Pictures of the LEGO 76001 The Bat vs Bane: Tumbler Chase for the Superheroes DC Comics theme has now surfaced online. Contains 368 pieces, 3 minifigures (Batman, Bane, Commissioner Gordon) and will be priced at $39.99 USD. This set is based on the movie: The Dark Knight Rises. (via FBTB)

I think this set looks "terrible" b/c Lego decided to put this set in the $40 category. This should have been in the $60-90 set range.

For a $40 set, I think it looks serviceable.

The Joker funhouse was $40 and was well-designed with lots of play features, etc. The designers could have gone the extra mile and made this a $49.99 set with more details very easily (there are some excellent MOC examples out there), if the piece count/price ratio was critical. This is just lazy design work given the subject matter.

I was really looking forward to this set when I first heard about it (I was in my dark age when the first tumbler was released) but after seeing this terrible half-assed set I'm deeply disappointed. Looks like I'm gonna be downloading the instructions to the first tumbler and bricklinking all the pieces...sigh.

I don't like this set. In order to keep the cost down, the Tumbler and the VTOL aircraft were scaled down and lack detail. I suppose parents will rejoice that this lego set is very affordable - but as a AFOL - this set makes me feel miserable because I would rather have more sophisticated batman sets. Batman is a gadget superhero - so cool batman accessories/gadgets make Lego toys stand out a bit more than other superheroes when the Lego set has cool gadgets to boot. This build has no challenge, lacks cool gadgets, and the finished model has less than satisfying look and feel. I would be embarassed to own it - I can't believe I'm saying this but I am certainly not going to buy this one. I think I'm going to cry....

I like banes flying thing, it could be used as the top half of a mech for a moc up.
