You can only get the Black Pearl at the Target Store, Not Online

 They were gone very fast. Why did nobody pick it up when they were available at Walmart for $69 only?

Because many Walmarts didn't have the set on clearance. None of them I went to even had the set at all, let alone on clearance. All Walmarts are not created equal.

I picked it up this morning around 6:30 Central at Target online for $75. My wal-mart never had this in stock and neither did my Target. Only TRU had it in stock and it's been marked up. I thought it was a good deal and the cheapest I had seen it locally.

In previous years (Troll Mountain Fortress), the Target BF deal sold out, only to show up afterwards in-store to languish through the holidays. My theory was that Ebay flippers had a run on the stock, but then they could not flip them before Christmas so they returned them. I expect this may happen with the Black Pearl as well.

I disagree, I think someone couldn't find the black Friday product in the back room and they moved on, then after found the product and put it out. I remember seeing tons of the pyramids, maybe at least 50 at one store in january, not possible for someone to return. Who knows....

I saw 4 Black Pearls on clearance at Walmart last week for $45. Didn't pick any up because I already have one, and I thought I might need my money for black Friday sales.-

I went to Target last night about 15 min before closing time. It turns out they closed at 9pm in preparation for BF. I was lucky that I did not postpone the trip a few minutes more since I was counting on target being open until 11pm. In any case I went there to buy food supplies not LEGO but could not resist to run to the LEGO aisle just to check out the stuff (after promising myself not to buy anything...) I saw 24 Black pearls on the shelves!
20 were in the entrance corner of the aisle and 4 more in the inside mixed with other stuff. All BPs were in pristine condition, probably they just recently received them from a main warehouse. I am assuming many Targets will have this tonight. The question is will they sell as fast as the online ones?
I personally don't find the $75 that attractive, also I unfortunately bought a couple already in the 80 something range from Amazon in the past

More notes about stock on target:
There was a very big empty space where I assumed the pod racers used to be. And no Target Exclusives to be seen, i.e Orc forge and zombies. A lot of series 8 figures and smallish Monster Fighters sets in the shelves. Kind of very messy. The other side was city stuff and Duplo. Basically no highlight other than the 24 BP. The BP were marked at full price $99. Now that I am writing about it I am thinking I should have scanned one of them just to make sure they would not ring $75 already but as I said I was in a hurry to buy groceries.

I saw about 5 on the selves of the Target near me. For some reason they were all turned backwards. I never checked the price. I was more interested in find the Zombies to use my $5 off coupon. But they were out of ZOmbies.

I remember buying it for $70 because everyone was saying it would be OOS and a set not to be miss but after I got home and stare at the box for an hour, I realize I didn't like it so I return it back to the store brand new. It probably only worth $30 for me. I wouldn't even buy it for $35.

The ship is just way too small. I wish I could have bought the Imperial Flagship instead. And 2 cannon really?
