more lego bundles at Walmart

Post by beartrapper25 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 12:30 pm

I found two that seem pretty appealing to me.
For $43 you can get the Hobbit Attack of the Wargs + this book. http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Hobbit-Or ... e/22630598" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - via Amazon the Warg set is $44.97, so if you're in a non tax state Amazon is the better value, barely.

For $74.97 you can get the Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider 9449 + Ninjago Lasha's Bite Cycle 9447 here http://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Ninjago- ... e/22172100" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - via Amazon 9449 is $63.76 and 9447 is $24.13

For anyone who has purchased a bundle at Walmart, can you comment on how they have charged each individual item? After seeing they were only charging $2 for the Fire Mech in that bundle, I was curious how other bundles worked out. Specifically the Wargs set here...but any comments would be appreciated.

I can tell you that the Superhero bundle for $35 worked out as Doc Ock Ambush for $25 and Capt. America for $10. So if you don't want Capt. America you can return it and get Doc Ock for $25--which is a pretty good price considering the limited release.

Keep in mind the Hobbit book is regularly $8. So even if it is discounted for say $6, you can return that and get the Wargs set for $37, which is a good price. This is why it matters how they discount the book...

I ordered a couple of the hobbit bundles to see how the pricing works out. Once they arrive I'll post the info.

You should be able to go into your order history and look at a detailed invoice by selecting "start a return". It will show the itemized price for the bundled items. The Hobbit book is $8 on it's own so the itemized price in the bundle is probably $5-6.

I have ordered a few of this LEGO Batman bundle:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Batman-B ... e/22252157" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The book is priced at $10 after tax so you can essentially get the Batmobile set for $37 after tax. Don't forget Shop Discover for 5% off your order.

Thanks for the tip! The Wargs set ends up being $35.51! So nearly 29% off. Not to bad of a deal considering that the lowest Amazon price has been $37.97 according to brickset.

That puts the book at $7.49? If that's consistent, that same combo can be used to get the Goblin King set for $70.51. Similarly, Mirkwood Spiders for $20.51. Both are ~$1 cheaper than Amazon's lowest ever price, per camelcamelcamel.com

The only other thing to consider is sales tax.

So to summarize, the itemized prices for the confirmed bundles are (prices seem to vary by a few $.00, so here are my invoices below):

1) Doc Ock = $24.97 & Capt. America = $10
2) Hobbit Wargs = $35.36 & Hobbit book = $7.64
3) Batmobile/Two-face = $34.60 & Visual Dictionary = $9.37

Even after taxes, these are all good deals if you don't want the books!

Also looks like there is a Hobbit combo with a full set of the LOTR books...Anyone seen how much the Book set is valued at in the bundle?

I ended up doing one of each deal and the Wargs set was the same price for each roughly $35.

If you happen to run across how much the book set is valued at tin the bundle would be nice to know as the set allows you to bundle unexpected gathering.
