I found the Little Eagle poly for 98 cents at the LEGO Brand Stores (Natick and Braintree, MA). It was $2.48 a few weeks ago.

This is the same price at Canadian brand stores. Limit of 50 per person though, but I now have some great birthday party favours for the future.

that is strange. It was marked $2.48 The other day, but when I checked my receipt I had only been charged 98 cents. did you have them ring it on or was it just the tag? I didn't realize they were 98 cents until I saw the markdown in Brainteee and then looked at my prior days receipt.

I can confirm that these are in fact on sale for 0.98 cents at the LBS.
One LBS had only a sign stating sale and the other had the red sticker sales on them and both LBS had them for 0.98 cents

Little Eagle is a Creator set. The picture and description on the main page are wrong. But I can confirm this sale for Indianapolis, however I bought nearly all of them last week.

I went back today. They are marked on the shelf as $2.48 but ring up $0.98. I bought five.

48 cents now here as well. Kind of a crazy low price for something that hasn't been around that long. I bought 12 more for potential party favor gifts. I would have grabbed more, but was trying not to seem greedy!

48 cents now in Indianapolis too. My Store's manager is a stickler about quantity limits and she was running the cash register today, so I was only able to get 5 of the 7 though.
